About Benjamin Dybesland

Benjamin Dybesland is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and choir conductor with a passion for Afrobeat, Jazz, and the musical mind. He arranges music for choirs, marching bands, and Jazzbands. He leads choirs and bands, and creates original compositions inspired by latin and southern african traditional music, combined with contemporary jazz and pop. His musical journey spans Norway, South Africa, Southern Americas and Mozambique, where he has worked with diverse communities and developed training programs for rural music tutors. Benjamin’s artistry reflects a deep respect for cultural heritage and a commitment to sharing music as a transformative experience.

His mission? To keep learning and passing on music and culture in a respectful way, inspired by African, Norwegian, and Latin roots
